Cancellation and Reschedule Policy

for Open Enrollment Program

Policy Overview

We know that plans can change, and sometimes you may need to adjust your enrollment in our programs. Our goal is to provide flexibility while ensuring a smooth experience for all participants. Below, you’ll find the details on cancellations, deferrals, and rescheduling for our public courses. Please take a moment to review the policy so you’re aware of your options and any applicable fees.

This program is designed to provide an impactful and personal learning experience, which is why we keep our groups intentionally small.

Your participation is essential- not just for your growth but for the success of the group as a whole. WHen someone cancels, it affects the dynamics and opportunities for interaction that make the program so effective. Each participant brings unique insights, perspectives, and feedback that enrich everyone’s experience.

We understand that unexpected situations arise, and we encourage you to reach out if you’re facing a conflict. However, we ask that you prioritize this opportunity as much as possible, not only for your own benefit, but also for the success of your peers.

Thank you for your commitment to making this program an outstanding experience for everyone involved. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

1. Cancellation Policy

Decker’s Preferred & Recommended Alternative

  • Transfer Your Enrollment to Someone Else: Decker’s number one preference and highly recommended alternative action if you as the participant cannot attend the program date of your current enrollment is to transfer your enrollment to another individual of your choosing. This can be another colleague, friend and/or family member. By transferring your enrollment to another individual, you will avoid all administration fees and you will receive a $100 credit towards your next registration.

Cancellation Fees & Request for Deferred Enrollment Based on Notice Period:

  • 30+ Business Days Before Program: No penalty; participants may cancel and receive a full refund, defer your enrollment to a later date or transfer your enrollment to another attendee of your choosing.
  • 30-21 Business Days Before Program: Defer to another date at no extra charge.
  • 21-3 Business Days Before Program: A $150 administrative fee will be billed, you are no longer eligible for a refund and you are only eligible to defer your enrollment to a later program date.
    • To avoid the $150 administration fee:
      • You may immediately transfer your current enrollment to another participant that can take your place in your original program enrollment date. This needs to be documented and confirmed by a Decker Communications representative within 48 hours of the dated cancellation notification or you will forfeit this option and must pay the $150 administration fee.
      • We encourage participants to transfer their spot to a colleague or another attendee to avoid fees.
      • Cancel your enrollment 30 days or more prior to the program start date.
  • 3 Business Days or Less Before Program: No refund will be issued, $150 administration fee will be billed after which you are eligible to defer your enrollment to a later program date. You will not be able to defer your enrollment to another date until your administrative fee has been paid in full.
  • Failure to Attend (No call, No show): In the event you have failed to attend a program with no prior notice and without any documentation in effort to communicate with a Decker representative prior to the program start time/date, no refund will be issued and you are ineligible to defer your enrollment to another date. No exceptions.
  • Administration Fees Notice: In the event that you have incurred an administrative fee, you have 72 hours from the date of invoice to pay in full. Your deferred enrollment will be frozen and you will not be eligible or guaranteed another program date until administration fees are paid in full to Decker Communications.

2. Enrollment Transfers: Process, Refunds, and Responsibilities

You may transfer your enrollment to another individual of your choosing, provided they are confirmed by a Decker representative and can attend the designated program date.

  • Transfer Approval: The new ‘enrollee’ or ‘transferee’ must provide their contact information prior to enrollment confirmation and be approved by a Decker representative.
  • Responsibility for Transferee Actions: Transferees are not eligible to request a deferred enrollment date or transfer their enrollment to another individual. Only the original purchaser can transfer their enrollment to another individual.
  • Failure to Attend (No call, No show): If you as the transferee cancel or fail to attend your designated program date, both the original purchaser and the transferee, will not receive a refund and both parties forfeit their eligibility to defer enrollment to a later date. No exceptions.

3. Rescheduling Policy (Deferrals)

  • Deferral Limit: Participants may reschedule their enrollment up to one time only. Failure to attend the re-scheduled program will result in expiration of the enrollment, forfeiture of deferred enrollment eligibility, and no refund.
  • One-Year Completion Requirement: Enrollment must be completed within one year of the original program date. Failure to do so will result in expiration of the enrollment,  forfeiture of all deferral eligibility and no refunds. No exceptions.
  • Deferral Fees:
    • All deferral requests will be treated as if they were an original program enrollment and will follow the time-based stipulations outlined in the Cancellation Policy above, including applicable restocking fees.

4. Program Cancellation by Decker

In the unlikely event that Decker Communications cancels a program (not due to participant actions), participants have the following options:

  • Full Refund: Receive a full refund including any program fees paid.
  • Alternative Program Date: Defer enrollment to a future program date of your choice at no additional charge. This will not count as a deferred enrollment and no penalty fees.
  • Individual Transfer of Enrollment: You may transfer your enrollment to another individual of your choosing, provided they are confirmed by a Decker representative, provide all necessary contact information prior to confirming enrollment and confirm they can attend the alternative requested program date. (See Section 2. Enrollment Transfers for details and restrictions)

Incurred Expenses due to Program Cancellation: Decker Communications will not be held liable for any additional costs or expenses incurred by participants. This includes, but is not limited to: travel expenses, accommodations, meals, or any other costs associated with attendance or participation in a canceled program.

5. Registration Expiration

  • Expiration Term: Participants must attend a program within one year of the original registration date. No exceptions.
  • Non-Redeemable Expired Enrollments: Expired enrollments are not redeemable for future sessions or refunds. No exceptions.

6. Force Majeure (Acts of God) Policy

Decker Communications and its participants will not be held responsible for cancellations, delays, or rescheduling resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, government actions, pandemics, acts of war, or other unforeseen life events (“Force Majeure”). Decker Communications will make every effort to notify participants promptly and provide support to minimize disruptions.

  • For Participants:
    • Rescheduling: Transfer enrollment to a future program date at no additional cost, with no penalties applied to the deferral limit.
    • Refund: Request a full refund of the program fee.
    • No cancellation fees or administrative penalties will be applied.
  • For Decker Communications:
    • Rescheduling: Transfer enrollment to a future program date at no additional cost.
    • Refund: Request a full refund of the program fee.
