Decker Communications Elects Ben Decker CEO
Reporting 25 Percent Revenue Increase, New CEO Poised to Propel Company’s Expansion
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – (January 30, 2013) – With healthy revenue growth and a new CEO at the helm, Decker Communications Inc. continues to improve communications. Individuals become better, more effective communicators when they focus on what to say and how to say it. Decker Communications, the leading expert in consulting, training and messaging for effective business communications, announced today that its revenue increased 25 percent in 2012, driving its five-year growth total over 300 percent.
The Decker Communications board of directors elected Ben Decker to the position of CEO after identifying him as a key element in the company’s successful growth. Decker Communications has increased its reach within Fortune 500 companies, thanks to a strong collaboration between Ben Decker and Kelly Decker, his wife and the executive vice president who heads program development and training. The company has also expanded from 23 to 40 employees within the past year. Founder and former CEO, Bert Decker will remain chairman of the board of directors.
“Under Ben’s leadership, the company has experienced unprecedented growth in revenue and pivotal partnerships,” said Founder and Chairman Bert Decker. “This appointment is a critical lynchpin in the company’s continued growth strategy.”
Demand for communications training has continued to increase, and Decker delivers results. Executive communications coaching and consulting grew dramatically – 21 percent in 2012. Decker’s signature Communicate to Influence training remained the most popular program, while its sales kickoffs, customized programs and Decker Made to Stick Messaging, developed in partnership with Chip and Dan Heath’s best-selling book Made to Stick, also continue to reshape the business landscape.
“Communication is the over-arching bridge that links potential with success,” said Ben Decker, president and CEO of Decker Communications. “We impact the way people are, not just how they behave. More broadly, Decker Communications will continue to transform business culture by improving the caliber of communication.”
Ben Decker joined Decker Communications as president in 2005 to relaunch the company’s core programs, drive business development and grow key accounts for the firm. In addition to speaking and leading executive programs, he has spearheaded Decker’s strategy and expansion efforts.
Prior to joining Decker Communications, Ben Decker spent several years in strategic sales roles in the high tech and medical industries. He holds a BS in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
