Responsibilities

  • Motivate, inspire and transform program participants by effectively leading and managing one- and two-day communications training programs for corporate clients
  • Conduct one-on-one executive coaching programs
  • Provide superior client service by appropriately customizing private corporate programs
  • Represent the firm as an enthusiastic, excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Identify opportunities to expand business with corporate clients, and pass leads to sales team
  • Keep abreast of communication trends and best practices, and provide thought leadership to team on how to best incorporate them
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and sales to generate research and case studies for new and existing clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years recent corporate experience
  • Travel required; approximately 2 trips per month (2-3 days in length)
  • “Get it” factor: proactive, able to anticipate needs of clients and teammates
  • Highly coachable
  • High degree of professionalism, strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with drive for success
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Marketing & Video Intern

Are you great at video-editing? Are you looking for more experience in the business world? Are you looking to create more pieces for your portfolio that people will actually see in use?

Decker Communications consults and trains business professionals in communications – both in what they say and how they say it. Decker Communications programs are transformational, creating focus and confidence to help leaders close the deal, launch an initiative or motivate action. Some of your duties will include:

  • Editing Before-and-After videos
  • Transcribing video content
  • Creating new video content for the web
  • Creating graphic elements for web, video and email
  • Prep work for Decker Communications Training Programs (including name badges, materials prep, package assembly and more)
  • Organizing and restocking of materials
  • Assisting with labeling and filing projects

Our team is feedback-driven, and as part of your internship, you will also have the opportunity to take our 2-day Decker Communicate to Influence course to become a better communicator ($1695 cash value, plus infinite applications to shape the rest of your career).

You are:

  • Experienced in iMovie (or Final Cut, or another video editing platform)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – especially Excel and Word
  • Experienced in Photoshop and/or Illustrator, a plus
  • Looking to make an impact with a growing team
  • Organized
  • Happy in a fast-paced business environment
  • Friendly, Fun and Funny (no stick-in-the-mud personalities, please)

Must be able to lift boxes of up to 40lbs. Business/business casual attire.
