Communication Gurus – well…

Check out a website I just found: Communication Gurus. Well… I found it because I’m on it at #4, so I couldn’t help but share it with you.

I don’t really think there are gurus – but there are experts and the experienced, and from that stand point I’m honored to share the designation with my team at Decker Communications. They helped develop, and deliver, all that we do.

And though there are some people missing from the list, I’m delighted to be at #4 when I see the company we keep with Tom Peters and Dr. John Gray. And with my good friend and Speaker’s Roundtable associate Tony Alessandra at #1 – maybe next year we’ll work our way up a notch or two and beat him out…

  2. Mr. Decker, I’d love to hear (read) your comments on the non-words and other crutches that distract from our communication. I live in Dallas, a town rife with professional athletes who cannot speak without beating us all to death with “you know.” Oddly enough, I find myself doing it at times, but ONLY when I’m on the phone. That seems odd to me, but I have no explanation.
I’m always working to keep crutches out of my communication. As usual, it’s much easier to spot the distractions in others.
I enjoy your books and blog. One day I hope to make the trek to S.F. to attend one of your seminars.
    Thanks,
    LK
